Cigna Settles With New York Over Disparity In Mental Health Claims [USA]

The family [said] that Cigna rejected payments for all but three claims for nutritional counseling necessary for the girl's mental health treatment [and] paid $2,400 out of pocket to continue the girl's treatment...As part of the settlement, Cigna will pay $33,000 in back claims and a $23,000 penalty.
