In October 2023, it was reported that over 1,000 workers at Sen Yu stopped working, calling on the factory to meet their demands. The workers said the HR manager demanded high targets the workers could not reach and told the workers to leave if they could not meet them. The workers also said they would not be paid their bonus if they didn't meet targets. The workers called for: the dismissal of the HR manager; a rise in their wages; no wage reductions for workers' who take leave or don't meet targets; a workers coordination committee to be established; workers to be able to get a gate pass to leave the factory; medical provisions and the factory to take responsibility for workplace injury, and no workers who participated in the protest to be dismissed.
