[DOC] Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC) statement in response to alleged involvement in the demolition of homes in Port Harcourt, Nigeria

NAOC [joint venture Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, ENI, ConocoPhillips] is not involved at all in the demolition of homes in the so called ‘Agip Waterside’ area. This area, despite its name, is not of NAOC property. NAOC has nothing to do with the Government and Rivers State decision to destroy the houses which seems to be due to the illegal status of the location. Moreover, NAOC is not interested in acquiring the area and has no plans to expand its facilities.
